Tesla delivered almost a million cars last year, about a third of which in the last quarter of 2021. Never before has Tesla delivered so many cars in one quarter.
Tesla reports that it will have delivered a total of 936,172 cars by 2021. No less than 87 percent more than in 2020, when Tesla managed to deliver less than half a million cars. Of the Teslas delivered last year, there were no fewer than 911,208 of which were a Model 3 or Model Y. The older and larger Teslas Model S and X together accounted for 24,964 copies. For comparison: in 2020, Tesla delivered a total of just under half a million cars.
Tesla was able to deliver a lot of cars, especially in the last quarter of 2021. In the last three months of 2021, there were 308,600. Of those, 296,850 were Model 3 or Model Y and only 11,750 were Model S or Model X.
Last year 1,882 Teslas were registered in the Netherlands. 974 of these were a Model 3, 908 were a Model Y. According to figures from RAI Association, Bovag and RDC, not a single new Model S or Model X was registered in the Netherlands in 2021.
