The 10,000th modern MG in the Netherlands is a fact

Party at Van Mossel: the dealer group recently delivered the 10,000th MG in the Netherlands since that brand rose from the ashes in 2019.

The story of the modern MG may be well known by now. After MG’s bankruptcy in 2005, new MGs suddenly appeared on Dutch roads in 2019. Those MG ZS EVs did not come from England, but from the enormous factory of the new Chinese owner SAIC. In the Netherlands, apart from the plug-in hybrid EHS, MG is a purely electric brand and after the very first MG ZS and that EHS we were presented with the more expensive Marvel R, station wagon MG5 and the more compact MG4. Indeed: MG still has some work to do to streamline its model names.

With all those models in relevant segments and attractive pricing, the new MG has managed to convince many Dutch people since 2019. Van Mossel, the party responsible for sales in the Netherlands, proudly reports that the 10,000th copy has now been delivered. Of course, this did not happen ‘under the radar’, but judging by the photos, it was a real party next to the new head office next to the A59 near Waalwijk. This is an MG5 in the striking colors of the Kwantum store chain, who, like Leen Bakker, is a loyal MG customer for the MG5. The parent company of both chains, Homefashion Holding, took delivery of fourteen MG5s in Kwantum colors a few months ago and apparently they wanted more. Would they get a quantity discount?
