One of the biggest additions to iOS 11 is ARKit. This is Apple’s framework for augmented reality. We list the best ARKit apps for you.
Best ARKit Apps
Have you already downloaded and installed iOS 11? Then you can now also get started with augmented reality. iOS 11 offers support for ARKit. This means that app makers can create ar apps and you can use them. But which ARKit apps are really worthwhile? We list them for you.

1. AR MeasureKit
Measuring is knowing. That could have been the Dutch tagline of this app. With MeasureKit you can dispose of a lot of physical measurement tools, because you no longer need them. You get virtual tools with which you measure the world around you. That is, if you pay.
The free version only gives you a ruler. By tapping two points in the world, you measure what you want in the world with this ruler. If you pay 3.99 euros you can also draw in the air to measure a length. You can also calculate angles and the height of a person. It is even possible to see if something is completely straight.

2. ARise
ARise is one of the most ambitious ARKit games you can play right now. The game combines a puzzle game with augmented reality, so you can send a little knight through a world floating in the middle of your room. The puzzles are not very difficult, but are still fun to do because you always have to walk around the world with your iPhone.
For example, you move blocks with your fingers, which the knight walks over to reach his end goal. Also in terms of graphics quality, this is one of the most complete ARKit games to date. It is therefore not surprising that the game is not available for free in the App Store.

3. Paint Space AR
With Paint Space AR you draw in your environment. You do this by drawing lines on your screen, after which they hang in the world and you can walk around it. With the free version you have the option to write and draw in one simple style. If you pay, you will get beautiful moving styles and different effects such as fireworks and snow. You can also edit your drawings later by, for example, giving separate lines a different color.

4. Miaow
This app is not very comprehensive, but that does not matter. With Miaow you get a virtual kitten at home with which you can play and that is enough. Miaow is one of the clearest and easier ways to show ArKit to others. Do not forget to use the built-in laser pen, because how the animal reacts to it is fantastic.
