The next Apple product that is coming is probably the airtag 2. We tell you when it appears and what is new.
The airtag 2 is coming
This year Apple has released a new iPhone 16th, M4 MacBook Air, M3 iPad Air and A16 iPad. You may think that until the iPhone 17 series in September there will be no new Apple product, but then you will ignore the airtag 2.
A new version of the airtag may not sound very interesting. That is partly true, but the airtag 2 does have a number of important upgrades. And they are especially interesting if you don’t have airtag yet. Mark Gurman van Bloomberg has already said in several reports that the airtag 2 contains these improvements:
- A strongly improved range.
- A new wireless chip.
- Improved privacy.
New functions
The airtag 2 uses the new U2 chip that was introduced in the iPhone 15 series. This should drastically improve the function accurately. With the current airtag, searching is working accurately up to 30 meters away. With the airtag 2 that will be 90 meters.
The airtag has unfortunately become a tool for Stalkers in recent years. Since the launch of the product in 2021, there have been a number of cases where the airtag was used to follow people unnoticed. It has even happened that airtags were adjusted so that the speaker is no longer audible. This makes it more difficult to locate the airtag. Allegedly, Apple wants to tackle these problems with the airtag 2.
The airtag 2 is almost coming
Apple-Leaker Kosutami has on X It stated that the new airtag will appear in May or June, which means that the next launch of Apple will not take long. The message also corresponds to Mark Gurman’s message that the new airtag will be on the market in mid -2025.
