Good news for those who cannot live fast enough: smartphone plugs charge faster and faster. A few years ago, many devices came with a 5W plug, followed by 10W plugs. Then it quickly went to 15, 20, 30 and 40 watts. Some luxury devices were even supplied with a 50 W plug. The higher the wattage, the faster the battery charges from 0 to 100 percent. Wireless charging is also becoming faster, but cannot match the USB-C cable. Below you will find five smartphones that will be full again in no time.
iPhone 11 Pro (Max)
The iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are the first iPhones to come with an 18W charger. Previous models were always supplied with a slow 5W charger. The iPhone 11 still charges with 5W.
Samsung Galaxy A50
Cheaper phones also charge faster and faster. Samsung’s Galaxy A50 costs 260 euros and has a 25W charger. That is faster than many more expensive devices such as the iPhone 11 series and Galaxy S10 (Plus).
Xiaomi Mi 9 5G
The (not yet available in the Netherlands) Xiaomi Mi 9 5G is the world’s first smartphone that can charge wirelessly with 30W. Competing devices tap 10 to 20 watts, with an outlier to 27W.

Huawei Mate 30 Pro
Just like the older Mate 20 Pro, the new Mate 30 Pro comes with a 40W charger. New is the possibility to charge wirelessly with 27 watts. Such a charger does not work with other smartphones.
Oppo Reno Ace

The Oppo Reno Ace is the first regular telephone in the world that fully charges within half an hour. That is thanks to the 65W charger. The battery is of average size at 4000 mAh.
