The battery life of the iPhone 17 Pro is impressive, but according to rumors, that of the iPhone 18 Pro will be even better thanks to these 3 improvements.
iPhone 18 Pro gets longer battery life
A fresh design, the color Cosmic orangeimprovements to the camera and probably especially the best battery life ever have significantly boosted the popularity of the iPhone 17 Pro. It now looks like the iPhone 18 Pro will have an even longer battery life thanks to three improvements. Here they are:
- Physically larger battery.
- More efficient C2 modem.
- A20 Pro chip.
A physically larger battery is the clearest evidence that the iPhone 18 Pro is likely to have unprecedented battery life. According to rumors, Apple will increase the thickness of the Pro models again in order to accommodate a larger battery in the device. It could still be that only the iPhone 18 Pro Max will get a larger battery, but it seems more likely that this will be the case for both models.

New chips
In addition to the battery size, Apple Silicon will also help this year with the longer battery life of the iPhone 18 Pro. For starters, Apple is replacing the Qualcomm 5G modems with its own C2 modem. Both the C1 and C1X have already delivered notable improvements in energy efficiency and the C2 should in principle do the same.
In addition, the new A20 Pro chip is built with a new 2nm process and WMCM packaging. Each of these innovations is expected to improve energy efficiency. All of this should provide a significant improvement in the iPhone 18 Pro compared to the already fantastic battery life of the iPhone 17 Pro.
