These 5 Apple products are going away soon

Apple’s next keynote will likely be held in October and will mainly focus on the iPad and Mac. But when new versions of Apple products are released, that also means that some old products will disappear.

These 5 Apple products are going away soon

M3 iMac

According to rumors, a new iMac will be released in October. The upgrade this iMac gets is not very significant, but always nice. For example, the M3 chip in the iMac will disappear and an M4 chip will take its place. A number of accessories (for example the Magic Keyboard) will probably also be upgraded to USB-C.

MacBook Pro with M3

October will probably also mean the end for one of the MacBooks, which is why the MacBook Pro with M3 will be one of the Apple products that will disappear. Apple is expected to introduce new MacBook Pros (14 inches and 16 inches) with an M4, M4 Pro or M4 Max chip. There will probably be no other changes. But perhaps the MacBook Pro M4 will get a different color.

M2 Mac mini

The Mac mini received the last update in early 2023 with an M2 and M2 Pro chip. According to rumors, the Mac mini will receive a major upgrade this year. The design will be smaller, there will be ports on the front and more. The new Mac mini will probably have an M4 or M4 Pro chip.

iPad mini 2021

Apple will probably launch an iPad mini 2024 in October. After all, it has been three years since the previous version was released. This next version of the iPad mini will probably have a new chip (with support for Apple’s AI). That would mean that there will be an A18 chip (or better) in the iPad mini 2024. You must keep in mind that the previous iPad mini is one of the Apple products that will disappear.

iPad 2022

It is not entirely certain yet, but several rumors say that a new iPad 2024 is on the way. According to usually reliable Apple expert Mark Gurman, the standard iPad will be upgraded and the previous one will be slowly phased out.
