1. Layton’s Mystery Journey

The Layton series has been synonymous with top games on Nintendo handhelds for a decade. In this part you do not follow the famous professor, but his daughter Katrielle who unravels a new plot.

The main role for the game is of course reserved for the puzzles. As you follow Katrielle, with beautifully drawn cutscenes, you must solve puzzles to progress. This is not to hold you back, because the puzzles are the actual game. The variety of brain teasers is again nice and large, so that you are sweet for a while. The price of the game is swallowing.

2. Full Throttle Remastered

Game classic Full Throttle can now be played as a remastered version on your iPhone and iPad. In this adventure game by Tim Schafer, you play as a leader of a biker gang who is falsely accused of murder. He must go out to clear his name. This remastered version has new artwork and better audio. It is also very easy to switch between the old and new version of the game.

3. Leap On!

In Leap On! your goal is to keep a ball high for as long as possible without falling into a black hole. You do this by bouncing through other balls that float around. Power-ups have also been placed that temporarily give you extra power. This is one of those games that you pick up every time. The pots are short, but you constantly have the idea that you will progress the next game.

4. The Franz Kafka Videogame

The lyrics of Franz Kafka are cast in a bizarre game, in which you not only follow an interesting story but also have to solve piles of puzzles. The quality is not as good as, say, the aforementioned Layton game, but it is refreshing how strange the game is. The Franz Kafka Videogame constantly surprises you with the images and situations. It is, however, a fairly short experience. If you are good at puzzling, you will have finished it in an hour.

5. Minecraft: Story Mode – Season Two

The second season of Telltale’s Minecraft: Story Mode has started. In the first episode, the heroes from the first season go their separate ways, but luckily some cool new characters are introduced. Telltale also fills in the battles differently this time, so you are more active with dodging and hitting. It is an excellent start to the new season.
