Lenovo has announced a number of Chromebooks at Mobile World Congress that are intended for a place in the modern home office, the classroom and beyond. These are the Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook, the IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook and the IdeaPad Duet 3 Chromebook. These are all the details.
Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook and Lenovo IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook
Lenovo’s IdeaPad Flex 5i is a 2-in-1 convertible Chromebook. So you can use it as a laptop or as a 14-inch tablet. There is also a separately available stylus with which you can draw on the Chromebook, for example. With the fullHD webcam you can have video conferences with your colleagues. The battery lasts about 10 hours.
The IdeaPad Flex 3i has a larger 15.6-inch touchscreen, but runs on the less powerful Intel Pentium Silver N6000. According to Lenovo, this device is very suitable for on the go, you can easily put it in your bag because it only weighs 1.9 kilos. The IdeaPad Flex 3i also has a larger touchpad and stereo speakers.
Both Chromebooks have the new drop-down hinge. That’s a fold-down hinge that gently lifts the keyboard, which is better for the position of your wrists.
The IdeaPad Flex 5i Chromebook has a suggested retail price of 549 euros and is expected to be available from June this year. You can buy the IdeaPad Flex 3i Chromebook from 449 euros and will be in stores from May.
Lenovo IdeaPad Duet 3 Chromebook
Finally, there is the IdeaPad Duet 3 Chromebook, a cheaper variant of the IdeaPad Duet 5 Chromebook launched last year for 499 euros. This seems to be the successor of the very affordable Lenovo IdeaPad Duet (from 299 euros) because you can buy the device from 349 euros. For that amount you get a Snapdragon 7c Gen 2 Chromebook with 8 GB of RAM and a battery that should last 12 hours. You can also use the Chromebook as a tablet. A keyboard is also included and the stylus is available separately.
The IdeaPad Duet 3 is available in one variant from May this year and costs 349 euros.
