This Anker Android TV dongle brings 4K streaming for 105 euros

Anker has created a dongle that makes ‘dumb’ televisions smart thanks to Android TV. The Nebula 4K Streaming Dongle costs 105 euros on Amazon including shipping, and also comes with a remote control. It looks like a competitor to Google’s Chromecast with Google TV.

Anchor Nebula 4K Streaming Dongle

A television with Android TV allows you to stream thanks to the built-in Chromecast function, and you can find a lot of custom apps in the Google Play Store. Google has already launched a stick with its Chromecast with Google TV to make televisions smarter, and Anker is now also doing it with the 4K Nebula Streaming Dongle, you know that 9To5Google.

You connect the dongle via the HDMI port of your television, and there is also a micro USB port with which you can connect the device to the mains. Then you use the remote control to navigate through the interface of Android TV 10. You will find buttons there to easily open the most popular streaming services: YouTube, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+. There is also a button with which you can start the Google Assistant.

If you play a movie or series, you can do that in a 4K resolution. Anker’s dongle also supports HDR and Dolby Digital Plus audio. We also get very brief information about the specifications of this TV accessory, as it works with 2 GB RAM and 8 GB storage. It is not known which chipset Anker uses.

Price and availability

The Anker Nebula 4K Streaming Dongle costs 90 dollars on Amazon.com. The device is not available on the Dutch Amazon site, but you can have it delivered directly via the American store. That will cost 105.08 euros including taxes and shipping costs.
