MacBook Air 2021 concept shows new colors
The MacBook Air and MacBook Pro are almost indistinguishable from each other in 2021. In terms of design, the two are very similar, mainly due to the available colors. Now that Apple has shown with the iMac 2021 that they can also make brightly colored computers, that could change this year.
With the iMac 2021, Apple is returning to the design of the iMac G3, which came on the market in exactly the same colors. With the 24-inch iMac, Apple appeals to a similar audience as with the iPad Air 2020, which also appeared in bright colors.
The MacBook Air 2021 is therefore the logical next: a device that is cheaper than the MacBook Pro and therefore fits into the same target group as the 2021 iMac and the iPad Air from last year. 9to5Mac designed a concept that shows how such a new MacBook can look at the iBook G3. This predecessor to the MacBook appeared in exactly the same colors as the iMac G3.
Especially now that the MacBook Air and MacBook Pro run on the same version of Apple’s M chip, more ways are needed to distinguish the two from each other. A different design can play an important role in this.
When is the MacBook Air 2021 coming?
