In the United States, Nissan has facelifted the Rogue. Why that is interesting? The Nissan Rogue is known as the X-Trail in the Netherlands, so we now know how the soon-to-be updated Nissan X-Trail will be designed.
It is certainly not rare for European models to lag slightly behind the versions sold far outside Europe. For example, we only received the last Ford Mondeo two years after it was launched in the United States as Fusion and our X-Trail debuted in the United States as Rogue more than a year before its European introduction. Nissan is increasingly distancing itself from the large silver-colored and V-shaped decorative part in the grille and we also see this on the new X-Trail. Yet something remains: the grill called ‘V-motion grille’ by Nissan for years. The large V-shape evolves into thicker vertical decorative elements on the sides of the grille. The grille itself is also new. From now on, it will be filled with horizontal slats. Nissan further adjusts the bumper work and sticks new Nissan logos on its wider alternative to the Qashqai/Rogue Sport. It is striking that Nissan does not hardly adjust the light units at both the front and the rear. Only the rear lights have a very subtly refreshed light signature, although you have to look carefully for that. The interior is also subtly refreshed, although the news here is mainly limited to the infotainment system. It has a new display with a diagonal of 12.3 inches and it now runs on Google software.
It is not yet known when Nissan will present the updated X-Trail.
