Ford is adding a new trim to the Ecosport range. The compact crossover is now also available as Ecosport Active, an adventurously decorated version that looks as if the model should have been right from the start.

The Ford Ecosport benefits from the arrival of a new flavor. The compact crossover is now also available as Active, the adventurous version that we already know from the Fiesta, Focus and the Ka + that is no longer available in the Netherlands. The Active recipe is made up of well-known ingredients for Ecosport. For example, it is dressed on the outside with black plastic panels that give the compact crossover a rougher appearance. The black material is not only around the wheel arches, but also in the front and rear bumper. The Ecosport Active also gets distinctive slippers. It is fitted with a special 17-inch, two-colored light metal.
Pampering
The Active party is also reflected on the inside, albeit to a lesser extent than on the outside. The difference lies mainly in a richer standard equipment. The crossover will include automatic lighting, a rain sensor, climate control, cruise control and electrically operated front and rear windows. Rear parking sensors are also standard, the same applies to an infotainment system with an 8-inch touchscreen and an audio system with six speakers. The eye is of course also something, so the Ecosport Active gets leather trim with blue stitching. The ham-brake handle, the poker cover and the steering wheel are also covered with leather and Ford even gives it mood lighting.
Ford Ecosport Active
The Ford Ecosport Active does not get four-wheel drive. Yet some things have also been adjusted under the skin. Ford puts the model a few centimeters higher on its feet, adjusts the suspension and steering and even gives the crossover a limited slip differential. All this beauty can only be combined with the most powerful version of the 1.0 EcoBoost that Ford has on the shelves: the 125 hp copy that is always linked to a manual six-speed gearbox. The starting price of the Ecosport Active is € 27,510. This makes it just as expensive as the sporty Ecosport ST-Line. You can order immediately, the first copies will be delivered in mid-December.
