Delete an account on Houseparty: this is how you do that

Being forced to sit at home doesn’t do any harm to the video calling app Houseparty. On social media to do however reports that the digital house party application could hack important apps, such as PayPal and online banking. However, it stays with rumors. The makers of Houseparty therefore award 1 million dollars for the first to come up with valid evidence.

Regardless, some people prefer to err on the side of caution and choose to delete their profile. The app does not make it easy for you, but with the instructions below you will get it. How to delete a Houseparty account:

1. Open House Party;
2. Tap the smiley at the top left of the screen;
3. Press the gear sign next to ‘Friends’;
4. Scroll down and choose ‘Privacy’;
5. Tap on ‘Delete Account’ and confirm your choice;
6. Then enter your password and indicate again that you really want to delete your Houseparty account.

The profile has been deleted and you should return to the home screen of Houseparty. Unlike many other apps, no data is saved from you. As soon as the account has been deleted, you have really lost all data. If you still want to make video calls with friends again, you have to create a new account.

So it remains for the time being allegations: there is no hard evidence that Houseparty is actually struggling with a security leak. Nevertheless, it is of course always wise to properly protect your online activities.
