Here’s how to create a playlist in Apple Music

1. Search for a song in Apple Music that you want to have in your new playlist;
2. Long press on the song or use 3D Touch, then choose “Add to Playlist”;
3. Choose ‘New Playlist’;
4. You can now create your playlist. choose a name, describe it briefly and choose a nice cover image;
5. To add more music to the playlist, choose the ‘Add Music’ option. You can now search for songs. If you want to add a song to the list, press ‘Add to playlist’;

You can always add more songs later by following steps 1 and 2 above. However, instead of creating a new playlist, you choose the list you previously created.

Share playlist in Apple Music

If you have a subscription to Apple Music, you can also share your playlist with the world. In step three above, tick the option ‘Show on my profile and in’ Search ‘. This way, other users can also listen to your playlist.

Share playlist with Spotify Code

Spotify has developed its own way of sharing playlists with other users. Each song, album or playlist gets its own Spotify Code. This can best be compared with Spotify’s interpretation of a qr code. By scanning it with the Spotify app, you immediately get the playlist on your phone. That’s how it works:

1. Go to the playlist and press the three dots button to bring up more options;
2. You will now see the Spotify Code under the image of the playlist. You can have it scanned by someone who also has the Spotify app. The person can then select the camera icon in the search option.
3. You can also save the Spotify Code as an image by long pressing on it. You can then send it via, for example, a messaging app.

The nice thing about the Spotify Code is that it also works well offline. Like a qr code, you can use it, for example, to print your playlists on a sticker. For when you really like to attract listeners. Users who prefer not to work with this code can simply choose ‘Share’ in step 1 above.

Joint playlists in Spotify

You don’t have to be alone when creating a playlist. Spotify, for example, also has the option to create playlists together. This way, friends and acquaintances with whom you share the playlist can add songs or change the order. Perfect for when you go out with a group and need music that can please everyone.
