Recently, rather conflicting reports have been published about a specific part of the design of the new iPhone SE. This of course caused confusion, so all the better that there is now a definitive answer.

It is about whether the iPhone SE 2025 gets the Feature Dynamic Island, or just a notch. Ross Younganalyst at DSCC (Display Supply Chain Consultants), has been a reliable source for years when it comes to Apple displays. He has now given his opinion about the confusion surrounding the new iPhone SE: “Notch like the iPhone 14 is correct”.

Differences and similarities me the iPhone 16

This short but powerful answer to the question of whether the iPhone SE 2025 gets a notch or a Dynamic Island is no surprise in itself. Rumor has been that the iPhone SE 4 will look like the iPhone 14 and adding a Dynamic Island would have taken away an important advantage of the iPhone 16.

The iPhone SE 4 already gets a number of functions from the iPhone 16, including support for Apple Intelligence (thanks to an A18 chip and 8 GB of memory) and a similar 48 MP camera on the back. The notch of the iPhone SE and the Dynamic Island of the iPhone 16 at least offer an important visual difference between the budget model and the Apple’s flagship.

Also not an action button and camera control

There were already rumors that say that the iPhone SE 4 could get an action button or camera control. In the meantime this does not seem to be the case, possibly for the same reason that the device does not get Dynamic Island. This can be seen on recently published dummies from the iPhone SE 2025, which are very similar to images shared by X user Sonny Dickson.

The iPhone SE 2025 may appear within two months, for a price that is probably a bit higher than that of the predecessor. We expect Apple to aim for just over 600 euros, for example 649 euros. Incidentally, there is a chance that Apple will stop with the name SE. There are rumors that the new name will be the iPhone 16th.
