The absolute top model of DS gets a new top version: the Opéra. His arrival coincides with the introduction of, among other things, a new multimedia system in the DS 9.
At the top of the DS status ladder, the 9 holds sway. The DS 9 – based on the extended Peugeot 508, which is not available in the Netherlands – is undergoing a model year update and will receive a new version. The Performance Line+ and Rivoli+ versions must now recognize their superiority in a variant called Opéra. He is of course quite spacious in his stuff.
The DS 9 Opéra includes DS Active Scan Suspension as standard, a system that adjusts the dampers based on information from camera images. Thanks to DS Drive Assist, the DS 9 can, among other things, keep itself neatly within the lines and at an appropriate distance from its vehicles in front. Also standard: DS Night Vision and DS Driver Attention Monitoring. But there is more than just a set of standard systems. For example, the normally optional DS Lounge Pack is included. This includes a center armrest in the rear covered with special leather, special headrests and the option to slide the right front seat forward at the touch of a button for that little bit of extra legroom. Extensively adjustable climate control for the rear seat occupants? Standard. The same applies to ventilated seats in the rear, including massage function. A sunroof, electrically opening tailgate and heated windshield are all part of the Opéra party, too.
The furniture in the DS 9 Opéra is upholstered in nappa leather with a ‘watchband pattern’. It is available in the colors Ruby Red, Art Basalt Black and Pearl Gray. Not only the seats, parts of the dashboard are also covered with cowhide. DS is also introducing what it calls the Esprit de Voyage collection, an option that covers the entire interior of the DS 9 in light-colored leather and light-colored details.
The DS 9 of the new model year is only available as a plug-in hybrid with power outputs of 250 and 360 hp. The variant with 360 hp is four-wheel drive. Prices will follow shortly.
