Toyota scraps entry-level Aygo X – prices up, more equipment

From model year 2024, the delivery range of the Toyota Aygo The Dutch importer is putting an end to the nameless basic version, which until recently was on the price list for €18,595. The Play, Pulse, Envy and Premium versions will continue to exist, both for the Toyota Aygo However, they will each become several hundred euros more expensive.

The new starting price of the Toyota Aygo X is now €20,495. For that amount you can drive the Aygo X 1.0 VVT-i with manual gearbox, designed as Play. Previously, you would have spent €700 less on an Aygo X in this configuration. The Aygo X 1.0 VVT-i with manual transmission is also available as Pulse, Envy and Premium. These variants become successively €800, €300 and €400 more expensive.

Would you prefer a Toyota Aygo X with CVT? That is also possible. Just like the Aygo The Aygo The Pulse, Envy and Premium become successively €700, €200 and €300 more expensive. Regardless of the transmission or version chosen, the Toyota Aygo X has a 72 hp and 93 Nm strong 1.0 three-cylinder.

More equipment

The price increase goes hand in hand with improved standard equipment. For example, the 9-inch multimedia screen that was previously reserved for the Envy and Premium versions is now standard on the Play and Pulse versions that previously had a 7-inch display. The Envy and Premium now get a 10.5-inch multimedia screen. The old ISB connections are being replaced by USB-C ones and front and rear parking sensors are now standard from the Envy version. Previously you had to choose the top version Premium.
