Tripsy: The Travel Planner You Didn’t Know You Needed

Are you going on holiday soon? Then you can use Tripsy as a digital travel booklet. That way you have everything at hand. You can read all about it in this app review.

With Tripsy you are well prepared for your trip

When you travel you always need some papers. For example, the booking confirmation of your stay or flight, or tickets for activities you have planned. These are often sent to you digitally and can therefore be conveniently stored. With Tripsy you plan the holiday and the associated activities, and save everything you need in the app.

When you open the app, it is immediately clear what to do. You can immediately plan your first trip by pressing the plus sign. Give the trip a name and set the dates on which you will go. You can even choose a nice, matching background photo for your vacation. Then you can plan it as extensively as you want. For example, set activities that you want to do during the trip.

Plan activities during your trip

Choose the type of activity you want to do, or set a location for a place you want to go to. You can also set the duration of the activity here. You can also add other details to an activity, such as a telephone number and a website. If you have other details that you need to think about, you can always add them in the notes.

You can record most activities in great detail. For example, if you add a flight, you also enter the flight code here. When you do that, the app automatically keeps track of the flight information. This way you are always aware of the current information about your departure, arrival, and even which seat you are sitting in.

To see an overview of all the activities and places you have planned, tap the map. Here you can see where all your planned activities are. Not sure yet which activities to do? The app also works as a travel guide. Tripsy gives you suggestions of fun things to do in the area.

The interface works well, is easy and very intuitive. Tripsy can be synced with iCloud, and can also be found in the Assignments app. In addition, the app works very well on the iPad and there is even integration with the Apple Watch.

Most useful features behind paywall

The app is free to use, but the most useful features are behind a paywall. Although the app is very nice to use, it is quite pricey. The first year you pay two tens, but in the following years the amount increases to 43.99 euros per year. You can also choose to pay monthly. The first three months you pay 2.99 euros and after that you lose 5.49 euros per month.

With a premium subscription, you can conveniently store all your accompanying documents in the trip you have created. It is also possible to scan your documents if you have them on paper. You can store your flight tickets, parking tickets and the confirmation of your booking all in one place here.

With a subscription it is also possible to share your trip with others. Your travel companions can then edit the trip themselves and, for example, add or adjust locations and activities. If you’re going to use the app well, it’s worth the money.
