Twitter Blue more expensive on an iPhone

New Twitter Blue subscription
The new Twitter Blue subscription makes it possible to get a blue check mark behind your username. This was previously only possible for well-known people or organizations, but now it is possible for all subscribers. In addition, subscribers get to be less ads and their content gets priority over that of ‘normal’ users.
Previous Twitter Blue subscription led to chaos
The first version of Twitter Blue was first rolled out last month. This new subscription – as expected – led to chaos on Twitter. Immediately, fake accounts received verification for a fee. For example, there were soon fake Apple and Nintendo accounts. Elon Musk was therefore forced to overhaul the new Twitter Blue subscription.

With the update, gray and gold check marks are added, which should provide more clarity about the person or organization that has been verified. Do you have an iPhone? This way you avoid the higher rate
Twitter Blue is currently only available in the United States. But it is expected that the subscription will also become more expensive in the Netherlands in the App Store on iPhones. However, there is a simple way to get around this higher rate.
The web version of Twitter still offers the lower price for a Twitter Blue subscription, so to avoid the high rate, simply purchase the subscription through the web version. You can then still use your subscription via the Twitter app without paying extra!
