The UGREEN Finder Pro tracker is a smart Bluetooth tracker that integrates seamlessly with Apple’s Find My network, ideal for finding keys, bags or other valuables. As an alternative to the Apple AirTag, this tracker offers similar functionality at a fraction of the price, with added benefits such as rechargeable battery via USB-C.
At a time when we are taking more and more valuable items with us, such as laptops, backpacks and key rings, a reliable tracker is essential in case of loss. UGREEN’s FineTrack series, including variants such as the Finder Pro and Slim models, leverages the vast Find My network of hundreds of millions of Apple devices worldwide, anonymously and encrypted.
UGREEN FineTrack variants
The UGREEN FineTrack series includes several models, including the round FineTrack mini and the slim Slim version in the shape of a credit card. For this review we took a closer look at the Finder Pro, often also called FineTrack. This model has a 90 mAh polymer lithium-ion battery, with an expected lifespan of 1 year, and can be charged via USB-C (5V/0.1A). Moreover, it has a built-in speaker that can produce up to 80 dB. This model is also available in a button cell variant, but personally I prefer the rechargeable version from the series.

Finder Pro specifications
The design of the UGREEN Finder Pro / FineTrack is reminiscent of a square with rounded corners, similar to an application icon. The tracker measures 36 mm by 36 mm and is 9 mm thick. For comparison, the Apple AirTag has a diameter of 31.9 mm and a thickness of 8 mm. This means the FineTrack is slightly larger and thicker, but it does have a built-in loop for easy attachment, while the AirTag requires a case or hanger first.
Both models are compatible with iOS 15 and higher, as well as iPadOS 15 and higher, and some versions also work with Android 9.0 or higher via Google Find Hub. The frequency band is 2400-2483.5 MHz, with a Bluetooth range of up to 60 meters. Sound can usually be played within a distance of 20 meters.

Contents of the package
If you purchase the UGREEN Finder Pro / FineTrack, you will receive a complete package for an attractive price, I will come back to this later. The tracker is available in sets of one, two or four and, in addition to the tracker itself, also contains a USB-C cable for charging, robust loops to attach the tracker and (extra) protective rubber to seal the USB-C port. Finally, you will find useful stickers in the box to make a tag recognizable.

Finder Pro tracker operation
Pairing the UGREEN tracker is very easy. You open the Find My app and use the ‘Objects’ tab to add a new item. Then choose ‘Other supported object’, enable the FineTrack tracker and follow the steps in the app.

After that, you can manage and locate the tracker using the Find My app and network. The tracker has the same functions as the AirTag, namely:
- Play a sound
- Enable Lost Mode
- Receive notifications if left behind
- Anti-stalking
- Notification when a strange Lifemate Life Tag has been nearby for some time
- Share with multiple people
From the Find My app you can also view the tracker’s battery status and receive notifications so you know when to charge the tag.
Find FineTrack
Have you lost an asset with the Finder Pro attached to it? Then you can try to find it via the Find My app. The last registered location can be found in the app and you can start a route to this location via ‘Search’.

As with the AirTag and all other Apple products, you have to be lucky that the tracker is close to other Apple devices. Only then can it communicate anonymously and you can request the location. Fortunately, since iOS/iPadOS 15, you will immediately receive a notification if the connection to a Find My object is lost.

Once you are close to the UGREEN tracker (within 20 meters) you can reconnect and play a sound in most cases. This can be heard clearly thanks to the 80 dB speaker, but in noisy rooms a slightly louder speaker of, for example, 100 dB would have been better.
Differences with the AirTag
No doubt many Apple users will want to know the difference between the UGREEN Finder Pro and AirTag. They both use the Find My network, are approximately the same size and have the same functions. However, there are indeed some striking differences.
The FineTrack is made of normal plastic, while the AirTag is a combination of stainless steel and shiny hard plastic. With the AirTag you still have to purchase accessories to be able to attach it to a key ring or bag, while the Finder Pro already has an eye.

In addition, the AirTag also has a U1 chip or newer that makes ultra wideband possible. This allows you to determine the exact location of the AirTag with an iPhone that also has an ultra wideband chip. You can only search for the UGREEN tag via Bluetooth and based on sound.
Another option missing from the FineTrack series is NFC. When someone finds an AirTag, it can be scanned via the Find My app via NFC, but this can also be done via software via Find My App â–¸ Objects â–¸ Identify found object.

The UGREEN Finder Pro is rechargeable via USB-C thanks to the built-in lithium battery, while the Apple AirTag works with a CR2032 button cell that you will have to replace over time.
The main difference is the price. For example, you pay €35 for an AirTag and €119 for a 4-pack. This is different with the UGREEN FineTrack, for a 4-pack you only pay € 39.99.
Conclusion: UGREEN Finder Pro – FineTrack
REVIEW SCORE
If you’re looking for a smart tracker, UGREEN’s FineTrack series with support for the Find My network is an excellent choice. This is an attractive alternative to the AirTag and offers the benefits of the Find My network at a more affordable price. The design of the Finder Pro is stylish, directly equipped with a mounting eye and includes various accessories as standard. The biggest advantage of the FineTrack is the built-in battery, which you can easily charge via USB-C.
The FineTrack lacks ultra wideband functionality like the AirTag. While this feature can be a valuable addition, in practice you won’t really miss it. The ultra wideband has a range of only 15 to 60 meters, depending on the version you use. Thanks to the loud speaker of the UGREEN tracker, it is clearly audible, making it easy to find the tracker if it is nearby.
- Eye + accessories for attachment to a key ring, for example
- Take advantage of all Find My features such as lost mode, sharing and anti-stalking
- Compact size with a neutral and stylish design
- Rechargeable lithium-ion battery via USB-C port
- Four pieces for the price of one AirTag
- No ultra wideband, only search based on Bluetooth
- Speaker limited to 80 dB, could have been a little louder

Support for iOS and Android
The UGREEN trackers above are only compatible with Apple’s Find My network and Apple devices. Do you also have Android users in your household? Then you might want to consider the extended version of Finder Pro, which includes support for both Apple’s Find My network and Google Find Hub for Android. This allows you to easily switch the same tracker between different ecosystems without additional apps, which is perfect for mixed households or when traveling. Both platforms’ extensive network offers global tracking, with abandon notifications and stalking prevention features.
