A great wish of many Apple users has finally been fulfilled since iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia. It is now possible to view, add and manage your Reminders from the Calendar app. This way you can easily see which tasks and activities still await you.
You can still use both apps separately, but from now on you will also see the added task in the Calendar. This makes it easier to schedule appointments and activities. This way you can at least be sure that you have enough available time.
Use reminders in the Calendar app
When you open the Calendar app, it is possible to view your tasks in addition to your Calendar appointments. Select a day to view the tasks assigned to that day, optionally marking them as completed by coloring the dot.
Add reminders via the Calendar app
You can now add a new task directly from the Calendar app:
- Tap the plus button in the Calendar app for iPhone or iPad.
- Select the ‘Reminders’ tab
- Fill in the information and tap ‘Add’
On a Mac you can do this by clicking the plus button in the Calendar application and choosing ‘New reminder’. Fill in and add the desired information. The new item is added in both the Calendar app and Reminders.
Change from the Calendar app
Do you want to change an existing reminder?
- Open the Calendar app.
- Double-click a reminder in the overview on a Mac or open it on your iPhone or iPad.
- Then tap ‘Change’ to adjust and save it.
Your task is now customized in both the Calendar and Reminders apps, using iCloud the data will also be synced to all your other Apple devices.
