Users like iPhone 15 better than 15 Pro
Shortly after the release of the iPhone 15 lineup, research data from PerfectRec already showed that owners’ ratings of the iPhone 15 Pro were lower than those of the iPhone 13 Pro and 14 Pro. Their latest report shows that customer satisfaction with the iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max has fallen even further and that users apparently prefer the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus.
PerfectRec’s previous report consisted of almost 700,000 reviews and the new data probably surpass that. The percentage of iPhone 15/Pro user reviews that received five out of five stars was similarly measured. This once again showed that users prefer the iPhone 15.
iPhone 15 is nicer than the 15 Pro
Both Pro models have shown a decline in customer satisfaction since September, when the first customers received their iPhone 15 Pro (Max). The more affordable iPhone 15 and 15 Plus actually showed an increase in customer satisfaction. Normally the Pro models get a higher rating, but this time customers like the regular iPhone 15 better.
In September, 73.5 percent of iPhone 15 Pro reviews received five out of five stars, now down to 66.1 percent. For the iPhone 15 Pro Max, this went from 77 to 72.5 percent. The iPhone 15, on the other hand, went from 68.2 to 78.1 percent and the 15 Plus from 70 to 73.5 percent.
The main complaints about the 15 Pro
Shortly after launch, the iPhone 15 devices suffered from overheating, which was resolved with the iOS 17.0.3 update. That certainly caused some disappointment among early buyers, as this was reflected in ’15 percent of all negative reviews’ in October.
But according to PerfectRec, the top three complaints about the iPhone 15 Pro in the last 30 days are poor battery life, minimal improvements over the iPhone 14 Pro, and disappointment with the design and camera lenses.
