Car dealer Van Mossel Automotive Group from Waalwijk takes over the dealer groups Fidenco in Belgium and Autopolis in Luxembourg. This makes Van Mossel in one fell swoop, the largest car dealer group in the Benelux.
It is the largest takeover for Van Mossel in its more than seventy years of existence. Fidenco and Autopolis are taken over from the Belgian investment company Alcopa. Two years ago Van Mossell took over the GMAN and Bruyninx dealerships from Alcopa. The transaction has been submitted to the Belgian competition authority and must be completed before the end of November.
Together, Fidenco and Autopolis represent a sales volume of some 23,000 cars per year, from a range of different brands. In total, Van Mossel now has approximately 250 branches in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France and Germany, with over 4,000 employees.
