Venom F5 Revolution Coupé: €2.52 million circuit toy

For Hennessey Performance, it’s not fast enough. The Texans are launching one power module after another for American pickups and muscle cars which more than once enable power outputs in excess of 1,000 hp. With the Venom F5 and its open version, Hennessey also has a self-developed hypercar and it is the Venom F5 that is even more extreme as the Venom F5 Revolution Coupé. According to its creators, we are even dealing with the most powerful car with a combustion engine not assisted by electrical power in the world.

That’s quite a claim. In fact, however, the Venom F5 Revolution Coupé has the same twin-turbo 6.6 V8 behind the front seats as the ‘regular’ Venom F5. That means: 1,846 hp and about 1,620 Nm of primitive primal power that is sent to the rear wheels via a newly tuned automatic transmission with seven gears. The Venom F5 Revolution Coupé is the variant of the Venom F5, which is mainly aimed at track use, which is also a lot lighter than the 1,385 kg original. Hennessey does not say how much the Venom F5 Revolution Coupé weighs exactly. However, the company already releases that the weight remains just under 1,360 kilograms. Carbon ceramic brakes all around should be able to calm down the extreme Venom F5 properly. The chassis has been modified and the cooling of the powertrain has also been improved. For example, there is an air scoop on the roof to better cool the hot eight-cylinder.

The Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution has a massive carbon fiber rear spoiler – complete with American flags – and modified spoiler work all around. According to the Americans, the rear wing produces more than 360 kilos of extra downforce at a speed of 300 km/h. At a speed of 400 km/h, the rear is pressed against the asphalt with no less than 636 kilos of extra pressure.

Hennessey Performance makes a total of 54 copies of the regular Venoms F5. Of these, 24 are a Coupé and 30 are an open F5 Spyder. There will be another 24 copies of this Hennessey Venom F5 Revolution Coupé. They each cost €2.52 million and there are only a few copies left.
