Viaplay has announced that it will make subscription costs more expensive again, because a price increase is coming soon. This way you avoid higher costs!
More expensive prices Viaplay
Do you always watch Formula 1 or play darts at Viaplay? Then we have bad news, because the company has announced that it will increase subscription prices. The monthly amount you pay for Viaplay will become a lot more expensive, because you will soon be laying 17.99 euros down for a monthly subscription. Now it is still 15.99 euros, so the subscription will be no less than two euros more expensive.
This is the umpteenth price increase at Viaplay, because the streaming service also raised prices in 2023. At the beginning of 2023 you paid ‘only’ 13.99 euros per month, so this year it will be 17.99 euros. Viaplay will introduce the more expensive prices on May 22, 2024. That will take a while, but there is a way to prevent the higher costs. You have to be quick for that, this is how you do it!
Annual subscription disappears
In addition to the price increase, Viaplay has also announced that the annual subscription will permanently disappear. That happens quickly, because from 11 March you can no longer take out an annual subscription. Do you want to avoid the higher costs at Viaplay? Then we recommend that you take out an annual subscription before March 11. That subscription is a lot cheaper than the monthly subscription.
For an annual subscription you only pay 12.79 per month, which works out to 153.48 euros per year. The subscription will then last twelve months, but you will receive a twenty percent discount. That’s quite a bit, especially if you look at the more expensive prices that Viaplay will soon introduce. With the new monthly prices you will spend no less than 215.88 euros per year.
Do you regularly watch Viaplay? Then it is wise to take out an annual subscription. This way you are assured of Viaplay for a year and you can watch Formula 1, F1 TV Pro, the Premier League and many more sports and series at a much lower price. As far as we know, that is also the only way to avoid Viaplay’s more expensive prices.

If you now take out an annual subscription, you will not pay 17.99 euros, but only 12.79 euros per month. It is wise to take out the subscription shortly before March 11, so that you can use the cheaper subscription costs for as long as possible. After that date, the annual subscription will disappear, so be sure to register on time. If you then have to take out a new subscription, you are unfortunately limited to the more expensive monthly prices at Viaplay.
