Apple has updated the Vision Pro with the powerful M5 chip and a comfortable Dual Knit Band. The latest version offers improved performance, sharper images, longer battery life and, thanks to the new headband, more wearing comfort.
Apple Vision Pro with the M5 chip and Dual Knit Band will be available from Wednesday, October 22 in Australia, Canada, Mainland China, Hong Kong, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States. Availability in South Korea and Taiwan will follow later. The Vision Pro with M5 chip is not available in the Netherlands or Belgium for the time being.
M5 chip for Vision Pro
The M5 chip, based on 3nm technology, has a 10-core CPU and GPU that deliver faster and smoother experiences. This makes apps and widgets load faster and web surfing more responsive. With hardware support for ray tracing and mesh shading, developers can create more detailed graphics, for example in games like Control.
10 percent more pixels
With the M5 chip, the Apple Vision Pro renders 10 percent more pixels on the specially made micro-OLED screens compared to the previous model, resulting in a sharper image with clearer text and more detailed visuals. The Vision Pro can also increase the refresh rate to 120Hz, delivering less motion blur when users view their physical surroundings and an even smoother experience when using Mac Virtual Display. The Vision Pro with M5 works with the special R1 chip, which processes input from 12 cameras, 5 sensors and 6 microphones, and sends new images to the screen within 12 milliseconds to create a real-time view of the world.
Longer battery life
The energy-efficient battery now provides up to 2.5 hours of normal use and up to 3 hours of video playback on a single charge. It is also possible to connect the battery via a power connection, so that the Vision Pro can be used for longer at home, in the office or on the road.
Dual Knit Band
The Dual Knit Band is new and provides an even more comfortable fit thanks to a unique 3D-knitted rib structure that is breathable and elastic. Flexible fabric ribs with tungsten provide balance and stability, and a convenient adjustment wheel lets users fine-tune the fit. The band is available in different sizes, sold separately and compatible with the previous generation Vision Pro.
Availability Vision Pro with M5

The recommended retail price has dropped from €3999 to €3699.
