Volkswagen Golf GTI in the picture

Volkswagen opens up a glance of sporty versions of the new Golf at the Geneva Motor Show. Not only does the brand take the new Golf GTD to the Swiss stock market, the new Golf GTI is also making its world debut there. That appears from a sketch that Volkswagen releases.

On Valentine’s Day, Volkswagen showed a sketch of the muzzle of the new Golf GTD, a sporty diesel version that is shown to the general public in Geneva. Today, Volkswagen is repeating that trick, this time with the GTI.

In the sketch we see the new face of the Golf GTI, a car that apparently gets a front bumper that consists almost entirely of coarse mesh. LED lighting has been incorporated on either side of this opening. Entirely in line with GTI tradition, the sporty Golf version gets a vertical red line between the headlights. Here again type designation ‘GTI’ is given a place. Volkswagen reports that the Golf GTI, like the previous model, has an exhaust pipe on both left and right and that the interior is decorated with things like a leather-covered steering wheel and that the mood lighting, with 32 selectable colors, is a special ‘GTI-specific mode ‘. From previously leaked information we could already conclude that the new Golf GTI will have a 245 horsepower 2.0 TSI and with that it is just as powerful as the Performance version of the previous Golf GTI. Later on a new GTE and of course a heavy R.

The new Golf GTI will be on the Geneva stock exchange at the beginning of March. He should appear on the market in the second half of this year.
