Volkswagen is trying to mislead us, because the brand is camouflaging a prototype of its coming electric car as if it looks like it is an Opel …
The shape of the grille, the windows of a Grandland X, the silver-colored decorative strip of the Insignia; all the characteristics of this camouflaged car are reminiscent of an Opel. However, anyone who knows how to look through it will see that it is a packaged Volkswagen. The ID.4 to be very precise. That promises to be the fully electric bigger brother of the ID.3.
At the end of November Volkswagen did the same kind of trick by sending a black wrapped ID.4 as Opel on the road. The new Caddy, too, was sent packed into the snow, but was strikingly similar to a Dacia Dokker. We do not dare to say what Volkswagen intends with the special wraps. It is certainly striking.
The ID.4 must show its own snout to the world this year. Volkswagen glanced with the I.D. Crozz Concept ahead on the electric crossover. The ID.4 is said to offer just as much interior space as the Tiguan Allspace. The list of different battery packs will go up to the 77 kWh strong version with the action radius around 500 km (WLTP).
We already looked ahead to the new ID.4. Those images are here to find.
