This week, the regular versions of the Volkswagen ID.4 went on sale. These are the versions with the largest battery, with a range of up to 521 km. More versions of the SUV will follow next year.

Volkswagens electric SUV ID.4 can now be ordered from 47,290 euros. It is available in five pre-specified trim levels, each with ascending equipment: Life, Business, Family, Tech and Max. The entry-level City will follow in March 2021, but it will only be available with a smaller battery pack. Previously, the exclusive and limited launch versions 1st and 1st Max were already on sale. The first copies of these will be delivered to Dutch customers this month.

Both the introductory versions and the five regular versions use the 77 kWh battery pack. According to the WLTP test, this means that a maximum of 521 km can be driven. Charging for 30 minutes at a 125 kW fast charging point allows the ID.4 to continue driving up to 320 km. The battery pack has a warranty of 8 years or 160,000 km. The rear-wheel drive crossover can accelerate from a standstill to 100 km / h in 8.5 seconds. In April 2021, the ID.4 family will be joined by a four-wheel-drive brother.

Volkswagen ID.4

The Volkswagen ID.4 is on the MEB platform for electric models. The sleek SUV has a drag coefficient (Cw) of just 0.28. Of the 4.58 meters length, 2.77 meters form the wheelbase. This means that five people can fit in, leaving a minimum of 543 liters for the luggage compartment (which can be increased to a maximum of 1,575 liters). The maximum braked towing weight of the ID.4 is 1,000 kg.

For this you get 19-inch alloy wheels, Discover Pro multimedia including navigation, 10-inch display and voice control, wireless smartphone exchange, Lane Assist, Park Distance Control and adaptive cruise control.
