Or wait for the new one
The Volkswagen ID Buzz has been in the Netherlands for less than a year, but the first update is already on its way. The result can now be guessed: Volkswagen sticks the name ‘Advantage’ on the outgoing model and puts it on sale.
We previously saw exactly this scenario with the Volkswagen ID4 and ID5, which benefit from, among other things, a new, more efficient drivetrain. This mainly concerns technical updates, and that is no different with the ID Buzz. When the long, seven-seater version arrives in the Netherlands, an improved version of the ‘short’ Buzz will also appear. Just like the ID4 and ID5, it will have the 286 hp electric motor from the ID7 and therefore have much more power than the current 204 hp version.
The current, original passenger car version of the Volkswagen ID Buzz is now being sold at a discount. Volkswagen calls the stock models ‘Advantage’ and offers them from €57,490. That is no less than 10,000 cheaper than the last known new price of a regular Pro, with the same equipment. So there is actually serious benefit to be gained. Production of the long Volkswagen ID Buzz, which is available as a five-, six- or seven-seater (2/3/2), will start in the spring of 2024.
