Volkswagen ID4 cheaper thanks to 52 kWh versions

Volkswagen is expanding the range of the electric ID4 with the previously announced variants with a smaller battery pack. The ID4 is immediately available with a 52 kWh battery pack instead of just a 77 kWh battery pack. Techzle has the prices.

Volkswagen initially only supplied the electric ID4 as special introductory versions called 1st Edition. Those versions were always equipped with the 77 kWh battery pack. Later, the brand also added regular versions to the ID4 range, but those also concerned versions with the 77 kWh battery. The ID4 is now also available with a smaller 52 kWh package, which of course makes the car a bit more accessible from a price point of view. The 52 kWh battery can be combined with two engine variants. There will be a 148 hp version and a variant with 170 hp.
