Volkswagen is recalling about 850 cars to the garage in the Netherlands due to possible problems with the brake pedal. Volkswagen importer Pon announced this.
The recall in the Netherlands follows the news that around 38,100 cars worldwide are being recalled by the German car group. The footplate of the brake pedal can deform or become loose under certain circumstances, according to the manufacturer.
The problem could arise with the Golf, Tiguan, Touran and T-Roc with automatic transmission built this year. Volkswagen tells the German news agency DPA that there are no known accidents due to the defect. According to Volkswagen, the possible problem came to light during internal checks. Nearly 17,600 cars are being recalled in Germany.
The Dutch importer says that customers who have a car that can experience this problem will soon receive an invitation to have this checked in the workshop and repaired where necessary.
