It is a shame that circle birthdays and pub crawls have seriously fallen into disuse, because the latest Univé research provides discussion material for at least an hour. The insurer investigated parking damage and claims that Volvo drivers and Limburgers are the furthest in that area.
Univé states that 2.4 percent of the Volvo drivers in the database made damage while parking in the past two years. This gives drivers of these Swedish cars the dubious honor of leading in this field. At number two we find Mazda, followed by Hyundai, Mercedes-Benz and Opel.
Univé has also investigated where most parking damage is made. Common sense shouts that this must be in the busy Randstad, but instead Limburg appears to be the province where this type of damage occurs most often. Parking in Limburg led to damage in 2.2 percent of the cases, slightly more often than the 2.1 percent scored by North and South Holland. Parking damage is recorded the least often in the far north: Groningen and Friesland both reach only 1.8 percent.
