Volvo XC60 Black Edition

Between all the news about the Volvo’s EX90, XC40 and C40 you would almost forget that there is still such a thing as an XC60. There is now something new in the barrel: the Black Edition. It is, you guessed it, black. Very very black.

The Volvo XC60 may not really be the center of attention anymore; it is still a stable model for the brand in the Netherlands. Over the past four years, just over 1,600 have been sold in the Netherlands every year (except for an outlier upwards in 2021). Also this year the XC60 seems to be on track for such a number again. The big brother of the ever-popular XC40 does not really seem to need a refresher, although it may not hurt to refresh the memory with a new version.

We are now putting the Volvo XC60 back in the center of attention with this Black Edition. AutoWeek can show it exclusively and also fished the Dutch prices of this special version. The Volvo XC60 Black Edition is available from €74,995. What you then get is essentially the Volvo XC60 T6 AWD as Plus, but with a slew of black accents. All normal chrome on and on the car is black, it sits on jet black 21-inch five-spoke alloy wheels, the sports seats are upholstered in black Nappa leather and black textile, there is a crystal gear knob and even the headliner is black.

For €78,995 you have the XC60 T6 AWD in top version Ultimate as Black Edition. If you want more power, that is also possible: the Volvo XC60 T8 AWD is also available as a Black Edition. If Plus will cost you $77,995, the Ultimate Black Edition should cost $81,995. The additional cost compared to the regular Plus and Ultimate versions is €1,000 and €1,500 respectively. It is not yet known when exactly the XC60 Black Edition will be available in the Netherlands.
