The Central Bureau for Driving Skills proves a huge revival in requests for driving and theory exams. As a result, the website became overloaded several times. The maximum number of website visitors is therefore temporarily limited.
Recently, from March 16, it was not possible to take practical or theory exams at the CBR because of the coronavirus. Now that the exams are resumed, there is a huge spike in applications. During the temporary stop, no fewer than 300,000 people fell by the wayside and are now trying to make a new appointment. It led to an overload of the website on Monday. In order to cope with the demand without the website constantly being out, the CBR has decided to limit the maximum number of website visitors.
It is now possible to request exams again. Practical exams will resume from next Monday (18 May). The theory exams start again today. Driving lessons are also allowed from this week. For the theory exams, the rooms are arranged in such a way that there is at least a meter and a half distance between those present. This is a lot more difficult in teaching vehicles, so a protocol has been drawn up to minimize the risk of infection with the virus.
