An iPhone naturally lasts quite a long time, but how often does Apple’s smartphone break down (too quickly)? These are the hard numbers!

Of course you don’t want your iPhone to break down quickly, but sometimes you really can’t help it. But how often does it actually happen that Apple’s device breaks down so quickly?
The answer comes from the Swiss webshop Galaxus. They have provided insight into the number of iPhones that are returned, during and after the warranty period. These figures also show how long it takes on average for your iPhone to be repaired.
You can now check these numbers yourself on the Galaxus website. With each version of the iPhone you can see exactly what percentage of the devices are returned (during the first 24 months).

- Navigate to the English Galaxus website;
- Enter the name of the iPhone in the text box at the top, for example “iPhone 13 Pro”;
- Click on the correct iPhone in the search results;
- Scroll down until you see the graphs with ‘Warranty score’.
You will now see various data about the iPhone. For example, with the iPhone 13 Pro you can read that only 0.6% of the devices sold break down within 24 months. That is the best score of all smartphone brands.
Honor and Huawei are in second place, both with 1 percent. You can also immediately see how long it takes on average for your iPhone to be repaired in the event of a problem (under the ‘Warrenty case duration’). Here Apple is not doing as well and the company is in 25th place with an average of nine days.
