This Saturday the Wie is de Mol anniversary will start! The WIDM iOS app has been updated and playing along is easy via the app.
Who is the Mol anniversary: play along with the app
It is a special anniversary season of Wie is de Mol?. The series has existed for twenty years and that is why ten former participants are again competing with each other. In this season they must puzzle, run and scramble in Tuscany, Italy to finally unmask the mole.
Every Saturday evening at 8:30 pm you can watch via NPO1. The iOS app has also been updated for the new season, so that you can also play from home, just like with previous seasons. Although the app has had a fresh update, this year’s participants are nowhere to be seen: they will remain secret until the kick-off on Saturday 5 September.
Suspicion game
The game remains the same as previous seasons. You need an account for the app and you can log in via Apple ID, Google, Facebook or by email. Every week, before the new episode starts, you bet your points on candidates who you think are the mole. If you are wrong and your mole goes home, you lose the points you have bet. As a result, you have fewer points left to bet the following week.
If you have bet points on a participant who can stay, they are doubled. You also have to decide for yourself whether you spread the points or bet on one person. If you bet on multiple potential moles, you have a good chance of staying in the game. If you choose one mole, you have a greater chance of doubling all your points, but then it can also be over. You can also complete the weekly test question to score even more points.
Create a pool
The game becomes a lot more fun when you participate in groups. Via the app you check every week who is best in terms of points. You can set up your own pool or join an existing pool. You start a pool by tapping ‘Pools’ in the drop-down menu and then on the plus sign at the bottom right of the screen to create a new pool. After you have given the pool a name, it is created and you are in it yourself.
Then invite all your friends, neighbors and acquaintances by sharing an invitation link. To do this, tap the figure with the plus sign in the bottom right corner of the pool screen. Tap Share Invite Link to share a link in an app of your choice, or copy the link to send it to someone. Handy, for example, to send the link in a WhatsApp group in order to find enthusiastic participants for your group.
