The Humane AI Pin is a new gadget from Humane, a company founded by two former Apple employees. It is a tiny device that you attach to your clothing, for example on your jacket, sweater or shirt. The AI ​​Pin does not have a screen, but it does have a projector, camera and built-in artificial intelligence.
The AI ​​Pin is operated via your voice or by holding your hand in front of you: the image is then projected onto it almost magically. And that looks a lot more subtle than if you unashamedly take your iPhone out of your pocket.
But… why exactly?
The Humane AI Pin has several advantages over your iPhone. First of all, it’s discreet and – if you ask us – quite stylish. You can easily combine it with any outfit and it will not stand out. Moreover, you don’t have to look at a screen every time you use it, so you pay more attention to the world around you.
Secondly, the AI ​​Pin is very personal. Think of it as a kind of digital assistant, but one that works as we expect from sci-fi films. For example, it can interpret what you see with the built-in camera. This means you could pick up an A4 piece of text and get a summary from the AI ​​just by asking. It also learns your preferences, has access to things like your contacts and calendar, and the AI ​​can even translate and pronounce what you say in your own voice. Humane AI Pin release
The Humane AI Pin was unveiled at Paris Fashion Week in September, where it was worn by models from French brand Coperni. However, many details are not yet known. Fortunately, the official launch is already scheduled for November 9, 2023.
