The Bluetooth or Wi-Fi sharing feature is available in Edge browser and Windows 10 file explorer. Here’s how to use it.
The new version of Windows 10, dubbed April 2018 Update, has a very handy feature for sharing web links and files between two computers. Nearby Sharing works over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and must first be activated on both machines.
To do this, go to the Windows settings (click on the Start button then on the gear icon), click on System then click on Shared experiences in the left column (scroll down if necessary). Then turn on the switch Proximity sharing.

You can also define the destination folder for your files by clicking on the button To modify.
Use with File Explorer
- Launch File Explorer and right click on the file you want to share. Select To share in the context menu.

- Then click on the computer found nearby.

- A notification will then appear on the desktop of the target computer, at the bottom right, to save the file.

Use with Edge
- If you want to send the address of a web page from the Edge browser, click at the top right of the window on the share icon, then on the computer to which the link is to be linked.

- The latter then receives a notification on the desktop. Click on the button To open.

- The Edge browser will then automatically launch and display the web page you just shared.
