Samsung is going to speed up the interface of smartphones with One UI 5.0. It is going to improve and optimize animations for modern smartphone screens. One UI 5.0 brings Android 13 to Samsung phones and the update is coming in the fall.
One UI 5.0 Animations
Google will release the stable version of Android 13 for Pixels at the end of this summer. Developers are hard at work and the third beta version was released this week. But software developers are not sitting still at Samsung either and Sammobile comes with new information about One UI 5.0. That is the new version of its software shell that is based on Android 13.
Samsung is going to make the interface of Android 13 faster so that you can navigate through your phone faster. Animations will look smoother, especially on higher refresh rate phone screens, including LTPO screens. These kinds of panels often refresh the screen up to 120 times per second and animations start to look nicer in each of those frames.
With the faster interface, the user experience should also get better. It sounds like a small thing, but smoother animations also make you feel like your phone is faster. In this article we explain how to speed up the animations on all Android devices.
Availability
We expect Samsung to announce a beta version of Android 13 for its top devices in the coming months. The company also lets users test the software, although the beta may not be accessible in the Netherlands and Belgium.
The stable update for One UI 5.0 is expected to come a few weeks later this year after Samsung’s Developer Conference, which was in October last year. The Samsung Galaxy S22 is expected to be the first to receive the Android 13 update. Will your Samsung phone get Android 13? You can read that here. What would you like to see in One UI 5.0?
