Apple has officially announced the date of the WWDC 2025! On Monday 9 June 2025 Apple presents the largest software updates of the year. The WWDC takes place from 9 June to 13 June. Apple kicks off the week on Monday with a large presentation, where, among others, iOS 19, iPados 19, Watchos 12, MacOS 16, TVOS 19 and Visionos 3 are revealed. Those are the most important updates of 2025.

Apple presents the new software versions on Monday 9 June at 7 p.m. (Dutch time). During this presentation it becomes clear which changes are coming to iOS 19 and the other OS versions. The rest of the week is all about online workshops and lectures for developers. They can be the first to get started with all new functions. On the opening day of the WWDC, the first test versions of all operating systems are immediately rolled out for developers.

iOS 19 will be a major update

WWDC 2025 will be an important presentation, because major changes in the software are expected. Especially with iOS 19 and iPados 19, expectations are high. According to rumors, Apple is working on a completely new design for these operating systems. Both iOS 19 and iPados 19 reportedly take over elements of Visionos. That means that we see more transparent frameworks and possibly round icons of apps.

Apple may also bring this new design to macOS 16. It would mean a major change for these operating systems, because it has been a long time since Apple introduced a renewed design. In 2013 that happened for the last time, when iOS 7 was released. Since then, Apple has not adjusted the interface of iOS and iPados anymore, but this year most likely changes.
