Xpeng has big ambitions. It will also sell its electrical goods in Europe in addition to its home country of China. It is very likely that it will also market a fully electric SUV in our country that listens to the name G9.
The Chinese Xpeng has already introduced the P5 for the European market, an electric sedan that will later be joined by the larger P7. This means that the Dutch delivery range of Xpeng seems to consist of two electric low models, but Xpeng will probably also bring the G9 to our part of the world.
To be fair, the Xpeng G9 itself is not new. In November 2021, Xpeng already showed the G9 digitally to the Chinese consumer. Although it always seemed that Xpeng would eventually bring the electric G9 to Europe, AutoWeek has found patent-technical evidence that Xpeng has also registered the design in Europe.
The Xpeng G9 is an electric SUV with seven seats and therefore three rows of seats. More than the P5, the Xpeng G9 has actually been developed with European sales in mind. It will be launched in its home country of China with an electric motor of 310 hp on the rear axle and will also receive a four-wheel drive version with two electric motors producing 551 hp. The battery pack has a capacity of 96 kWh,
It is currently rattling around the European introduction of the Xpeng P5, but the car seems to be finding its way to Europe. Would the Xpeng G9 be a welcome addition to the car range in the Netherlands?
