You can read this in AutoWeek 20

Techzle 20 will be in the shops from tomorrow or on your doorstep this week. What are you reading this week in our packed magazine?

This week we pay extra attention to young timers in Techzle. You can already see that in the photo above: we put an Alfa Romeo 166 and a Lancia Thesis opposite each other. Both of them did not sell very well here in the Netherlands and nowadays they are completely rare. Although a German counterpart may feel safer, you can also drive around in such a thick Italian sedan with a 3.0-liter V6. In Techzle 20 you can read why it might be worth considering.

Another large older sedan, but from the German corner: the Mercedes-Benz S-class W140. It has been around for 30 years this year and that naturally requires a review. How does such an old S drive today? To compare what has changed and improved in recent decades, we put the brand new S-Class next to it.

We also delve into Volvo’s history, starting with the brand new C40 and ending up with the P1800. Rover is also discussed extensively. Although the brand no longer exists, it is relatively speaking not even that long ago that the British brand still had a fairly wide model range. We’ll go through them again.

Maserati MC20

Naturally, this issue also focuses on new cars. The most spectacular of these is without a doubt the Maserati MC20. Techzle was the only Dutch medium that could already drive it. In the hills in Tuscany, so that was of course no punishment. Roy Kleijwegt updates you about Maserati’s latest creation.

The first driving test with the renewed Jeep Compass is of a more modest kind. You have already seen the video of this here on the website, but we will of course dive deeper into it in the magazine. During the renewal, the appearance and technology have been left virtually untouched, but the interior received a serious makeover. Is the function still in step with the form?

As you are used to from us, we also subject some used cars of readers to various tests. On the rollers this week a Saab 9-5 2.3t with barely half a million kilometers behind it can prove how much power is still available. Brave to try that out with such a mileage! In Klokje Rond we have a very sober entry this week: a Hyundai iX35. One with a thick diesel engine, once purchased to be able to pull the caravan well. That self-igniter turns out to be not finished even after 500,000 km, or is the end now in sight?

All this and more can be read in the latest Techzle, which will be in stores this week from Wednesday. Would you rather not go out? Order from the easy chair the latest number. Then it will be delivered to your door within two working days.
