Techzle 38 will be in stores from tomorrow or will fall on your doormat this week. That issue is again full of interesting tests and background stories. You can expect this, among other things:
It is not news that more and more high-rise cars are being sold. But that the ancient hatchback evolves into a higher model as a result is a new step. And that’s what happened to the Citroën C4. Against an elevated Kia Ceed in the form of an XCeed, the Frenchman can live up to the high opinion he has of himself.
Dacia Duster
In the even more no-nonsense corner we find the Dacia Duster. Dacia has updated the Duster and now offers it in a desirable variant with a 150 hp petrol engine and six-speed DCT. Nice, but doesn’t this opulence gnaw at the sympathetic no-nonsense character of the still functional Romanian?
For those who want it all a bit simpler, the Micro Microlino is coming. An electric dwarf car that can be recognized at a glance as a retro Isetta. We go around the block with the sympathetic cart.

At the other end of the automotive spectrum, we find the Porsche 911 Carrera GTS. A little bit of the Carrera S, a little bit of the Turbo and voilà : the GTS is born. A species greatest hits so, nice that it sounds.
The 911 has a sharpness that the Bentley Continental GT could only dream of until now. Still, with the Continental GT Speed, Bentley is well on its way to making the Continental GT a lot more refined, although ‘refined’ remains a relative concept with a two-ton car with a W12. On an abandoned NATO base we were able to get the most out of this violent man and that was certainly not disappointing.

We also drove the Volkswagen ID3 GTX for the first time. Yes, the 340 hp sporty top version of the electric Golf counterpart. Does this mean that Volkswagen has a car that can make you forget the GTI of yesteryear?
On the used car pages of Techzle 38 you will find even more sportiness in the form of Jordy Stupers’ Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG. That can prove on the rollers what is still alive in the now pretty aging V8. Whether or not it yields a positive result, we enjoyed the sound!

Finally, we are standing in Klokje Rond with our nose on top of a Hyundai Getz from 2003 with a respectable mileage. The 1.3’tje has already had over three tons. Jelle Algra took over the Getz from his mother last year and is curious how long he can happily continue with it.
All that and more can be read in the latest Techzle. It will be in stores from Wednesday this week. Would you rather not go out? Order the latest issue from the comfort of your home. Then it will be delivered to your doorstep within two working days.
