AutoWeek 40 will be in stores from tomorrow or will fall on your doormat this week. This week extra attention for youngtimers! This is what you can expect.

AutoWeek 40 is a real youngtimer special. This is reflected, among other things, in a double test between the Opel Omega and Mazda Xedos 9. Mazda and Opel have both tried for years to win the favor of the buyer with these large sedans. For both unloved cars, the second life may now begin as a youngtimer, so it’s high time to freshen up what you get.

Of course we also look forward to the ‘latest’ youngtimers. With 2022 approaching, another series of cars will be added that deserve this status. You wouldn’t say it, but the retro Fiat 500 is one of them. After all, it appeared in 2007, 15 years ago next year. Do you still have a bit of a good buy in such an older 500 and are there things that you really should check? You can read it in Koopwijzer.

We also take a look at someone with an immense collection of old Mercedes-Benz S-classes and we reflect on the history of the Audi RS4. After all, the RS4 B7 is also a young timer. You had it as a sedan, convertible and as an Avant, but what is the ultimate version?

Tesla Model S Clock Round

Tesla Model S

The Tesla Model S of Gino Coppens cannot be called a youngtimer for the time being, yet it has reached a mileage that many 15-year-old cars can envy. The Model S has almost 3.5 tons behind it. We are of course very curious what an electric car with so much experience shows if we pass the ruthless Klokje Rond inspection.

Toyota Yaris Cross vs. Renault Captur

If you don’t have much with the older stuff, then you don’t have to leave AutoWeek on the shelves this week either. For example, we drove the Toyota Yaris Cross and the Renault Captur. The newcomer versus the benchmark in this segment. Did Toyota hit the bull’s eye with the Yaris Cross?

Finally, we drive the new Kia Ceed. While the EV6 and Sportage currently demand all the attention of the fashion-conscious (lease) drivers, the Ceed is silently doing what it has always done in the background: conquering the heart of the European car market a little further.

All that and more can be read in the latest AutoWeek. It will be in stores from Wednesday this week. Would you rather not go out? Order from the comfort of your home the latest number. Then it will be delivered to your doorstep within two working days.
