You can read this in AutoWeek 41

Techzle 41 will be in the shops from tomorrow, time to read what you can expect this week in our packed magazine. Of course we were able to test a number of (mainly sporty) newcomers, but lovers of old stuff will get their money’s worth just as well!

Just like a few years ago, we have a Hyundai i10 as an endurance tester. Last time it turned out that the little South Korean could also be used for longer journeys. To find out if that is the case with its successor again, we decided to drive it for a long time. Although within the Netherlands; we made a tour of many places with ‘ten’ in their name. With an i10. Do you get it? A long ride around all corners of the country.

Ford Explorer vs. Volvo XC90

We find the Volvo XC90 quite a few steps up the food chain. It gets a striking competitor; the Ford Explorer. Both are available as a plug-in hybrid, which must of course be the chance for the American to finally break through here. We put it to the test and looked at how the Explorer, as a model unknown to us, relates to the long-established Swede.

Porsche 911 Targa

The lover of sportive stuff from Germany can indulge himself this week. No fewer than two first driving tests are in the context of such cars. The brand new Porsche 911 Targa was put to the test by Roy Kleijwegt. What can you expect with regard to the apparently logical alternative; the 911 Cabriolet? In a slightly lower price range you can also have a huge amount of driving pleasure. Think of the brand new Audi S3. This is also discussed extensively in this issue in a first driving test.

Volkswagen Transporter T3 Dynamometer

If a new XC90 is a bit too crazy for you, you can of course also look at a used one. They want to achieve high mileage more than once, so that inspires confidence. This week, a copy from 2004 with no less than 6 tons on the clock is shining in Klokje Rond. Does the Volvo really live up to its robust reputation? A thorough inspection provides the answer. Another piece of technology of which we are in any case sure that nothing can go wrong with it, is the boxer engine in the back of the Volkswagen T3 Multivan that is on the rollers this week. The sound of this motorhome naturally makes for a smile from ear to ear, but whether it also has a bit of ‘spunk’?

Mazda

Finally, we have, among other things, a nice report about Mazda. After all, that brand has been around for 100 years this year. Techzle stood with the nose on top of a number of legendary Mazdas from the past. Feast! All this and more can be read in the latest Techzle, which will be in stores this week from Wednesday. Would you rather not go out? Order from the easy chair the latest number. Then he will arrive on the doormat within two working days.
