2021 is upon us. Hopefully it will be a better year than 2020, but in terms of car news it already looks interesting. In the Techzle Annual Special 2021 you can already read what is to come in that area.
The Techzle Annual Special of 2021 has been out for a few weeks now. An extra thick special edition of Techzle with a lot of previews on the coming car year, but also numerous tests, background stories and interesting facts for 2021.
Looking forward
It starts well right away, for the special. No less than 22 pages long, you can read all about the cars that will appear on the market next year. In some cases it is already very concrete what can be expected of it, in other cases we will update you as best as possible based on what was known at the time of writing.
Of course, there are not only interesting introductions on the roll for 2021, because there will also be some changes in the automotive field in the new year in a broader sense. In an extensive story of 8 pages you will be fully updated about matters such as the other addition, route checks, road works, MOT requirement for old-timers, CO2 standards and parking with electric cars.
Looking back
Of course we not only look ahead, but also back. For example, we will extensively consider the departure of the BMW i8, which can prove itself one more time in a 10-page story against other non-electric powerhouses. In an extensive story about the anniversaries of 2021, we dive even further back into automotive history. The Range Rover Evoque, the Renault 4, the Volvo Amazon and the Rolls-Royce Silver Ghost are all among the 16 most notable cars to celebrate an anniversary in the new year.
Tests
We have already been able to test some of the cars that will hit the sales lists in 2021. For example, we went out with the new electric Fiat 500e, the Volvo XC40 P8 Recharge and the Volkswagen ID4. Yes, we already drove the ID4 before it was unveiled.
Background
Some themes or cars are too important to cover in passing, so we will, for example, add an extra story about hydrogen, an interview with Daimler CEO Sajjad Khan and an extensive preview of the new Mercedes-Benz S-class. A bit lighter are the reports about car enthusiasts in Corona time. Last year it was quite a challenge for some to put their hands and feet into it, but not for the people featured in the special.
Finally, the ‘Retro Dreams’ column, so loved by many readers, returns. In it we let our illustrators draw contemporary versions of iconic classic cars. This year, the Alfa Romeo GTV, the Opel Manta (top photo) and the AMC Pacer will be featured. What would they look like in 2021?
