You must try these smart keyboard features on iPhone

Even though we’re seasoned tech editors, we’re still discovering new aspects of hardware and software that we test. And while we’re familiar with these two keyboard functions on your iPhone, you may not have heard of them.

We often write about special options on your iPhone that you may not have known existed. For example, it is possible to suddenly use countless functions with a ‘secret button’ by tapping on the back.

The iPhone keyboard can do more than you think

We have already reported that entering your e-mail address completely is no longer necessary. You can easily create a shortcut for this in your settings.

So the most convenient option is an easy hack. You only need to abbreviate your entire email address for example ‘@@’. You do this in your keyboard settings. To do this, go to on your iPhone Institutions, General and Keyboards. Here you will find the option Text replacement.

But your keyboard has another nice shortcut. One of the first tricks is to double-tap the spacebar. This can save you a bit of time if you really want to type a long message quickly.

That’s natural if you’re someone who prefers to send one long message rather than a whole bunch of individual messages that causes the recipient’s phone to chime and light up over and over again.

You really have to set up this function. To do this, go to the Institutionsthen to General and switch under it Keyboards the Point shortcut in. Now if you press the space bar twice, you immediately get a period and a space.

Your keyboard is also a very nice mouse

You will undoubtedly have made a mistake in a text that you want to correct. But getting the cursor in the right place by clicking on the text can be very useful.

Fortunately, Apple has found a very nice solution for this. Your keyboard is also a trackpad. You do not need to go to the settings for this function.

Simply hold down the spacebar. You will now see that all letters turn gray. Then hover over the blank keys and you will see that you can easily place your cursor where you want, or select a piece of text. These kinds of fine tricks make your iPhone even more pleasant to use.
