In iOS 17, the standby function is one of the nicest innovations. This allows you to turn your iPhone into the perfect alarm clock. It is also possible to use your iPhone as a kind of digital photo frame.
But to place your iPhone in this way you obviously need a good stand. Here comes this one Zens magnetic nightstand charger with MagSafe around the corner. You simply click your iPhone on the circle and the iPhone will charge.
The charger feels quite heavy, and is therefore nice and sturdy on your bedside table. You can easily lay the MagSafe plate up or flat. Your iPhone is secured quite securely. Do you have a standard case on your iPhone? Then this case must have support for MagSafe. Otherwise your iPhone will not stay (properly) on the plate.
The Zens MagSafe nightstand charger comes with a separate adapter. It is a shame that the charger does not have a USB-C port. This means that you still have an extra cable lying around.
For iPhone 12 and newer
The Zens MagSafe nightstand charger works with all iPhone 12 models and newer (but not the iPhone SE). Also nice: you can even click your AirPods (with MagSafe) on them so that they are charged. However, there is only room for one of your Apple devices and that’s a shame. It is not possible to charge an Apple Watch.
The Zens MagSafe nightstand charger for your iPhone costs 49.95 euros at Amac. It has support for 15W wireless fast charging and supports Apple Fast Charge at 7.5W. To fully charge your iPhone, it will take a little longer on the wireless charger (about 4 to 5 hours for a full charge).
The Zens MagSafe nightstand charger is very sturdy and feels quite solid and premium. The iPhone stays in place and with the iOS 17 standby function it is the perfect replacement for your alarm clock (radio).
However, it is a pity that the included adapter does not have a USB-C connection and that charging takes a little longer.
